No, I do not recommend that women wear underwear to bed.  Taking a break from underwear for the 8 or so hours that you're asleep gives you an opportunity to "air-out" down there! I realize this may sound silly, but I wasn't exactly sure how else to write it. Best to have an underwear free zone while sleeping.

P.S.  I should add that I am in a wonderful long-term marriage with the love of my life. Lovers have a way of working out what fits for them. At least for us — and again, to each her own — when we want to get naked we rambunctiously do. I just don't go to sleep that way.

I agree with Evelyn.  If you are in a relationship, it's probably best to sleep naked as well.  I know some have concerns about one's natural body oils getting on the sheet, but the closeness you feel while naked makes the extra washes worth it.
Regardless of whether you wear a nightie or not, let your vulva air.  That's my vote, too.

Well, I agree in principle, but some women like the feeling of at least minimal nightclothes to hold in their body warmth. Additionally, after I had knee surgery and it was hard for me to turn over in bed, I discovered that wearing very old and butt-sprung Chico's pants under my long nightie allowed me to sort of rotate within that silkiness. I liked it so well that I have continued. On the other hand, I never wear panties in the daytime, so my vulva gets plenty of air. Bottom line (so to speak), to each her own! Is this too much information? Better you know now that my answers will often spring from my own life experience. Good news is, I'll own it as such.
