According to Oriental medicine, you could still be blood deficient. Hair is considered the "sprout" of the blood. You can start taking a good supplement, such as Floradix, but you will get the most results from your diet. Red meat seems to have a form of iron that is most easily absorbed by the body. Try eating at least one serving a day at first. Also, beets are great blood builders. Nettles tea is also a good blood builder. An acupuncturist who is also an herbalist can help you with a custom formula to help build your blood.

Are you malabsorbing nutrients? You might have something causing inflammation in your gut. What thyroid test/s were done? "fine" can be pretty subjective... GREAT suggestions above for blood building. Iron deficiency can promote low thyroid, there are multiple thyroid enzymes involved in hormone production. Try to find the cause of low iron stores- is it dietary deficiency, malabsorption, or excessive blood loss?

I mean multiple "iron dependent enzymes involved in thyroid hormone production". :)
