Carrie Bradshaw made cosmos cool in NYC, but The City's newest darling, Whitney Port, is actually a beer fan. But not the musty, rotten kind you drink out of Solo cups with bros--that stuff should have any dignified chick out of college running for the Hills.

Whitney tweeted that she's become a beer convert after trying Budweiser Select 55. Only on the market nationwide since February 2010, this premium light beer has ousted MGD Light 64 as the lightest thing around, with only 55 calories per 12-ounce serving.

The beer's official site says they didn't strip away the taste from this "full-flavored" beer. And, while we think the ladies are going to be more likely to agree on that one than the frat boys, we've seen enough full-grown men slurping a vodka soda out of a straw to firmly state that this beer could get a multi-gendered thumbs up. We found the flavor to be pleasant and a little fruity, with no aftertaste.

Select 55's abv (that's alcohol by volume) is 2.4%, compared with regular Budweiser's 5% (for 145 calories) and Bud Light's 4.2% (for 100 calories). But don't get too bummed about the lack of bang for your caloric buck... this actually makes Select 55 a great choice for when you know you may have long night of drinking ahead. Not that we're advocating that or anything.
